Glen Eyrie Castle

Spent the day today at The Glen. It is such a beautiful place. I miss a lot of things about living there. Beautiful place to view God's glorious nature.

Bring it all together

My "web-presence" can best be described by Bilbo Baggins, "I feel like butter spread over too much toast."

Where have I been?

I broke down and bought a Yamaha Zuma. It has been a lot of fun. The Schwinn still awaits an engine and it is sitting in the garage friendless.

Unsaid things

Unsaid things. I thought them but my lips didn't understand the clock. "Follow your compass not your clock" they say. Lost it?

Love her

Love her as Christ loved the Church. He laid his life down for it. Love her without hesitation, or self consideration.

Today is...

Today is my 6th wedding anniversary. I love my wife more than anything else in this life. She is my holy gift, my one and only.

Goo on a new bike?

Last night I spent some time getting the stuff off the bike. I started cleaning tape and stuff off the frame, I cannot believe how much goo and stuff gets on these things. I still do not have all of it off. There were a couple of places where I thought there was a small scratch and it turned out to be just packing remnants and tape backing. I also noticed that the fake leather material that covers the seat is slightly separated/bubbled in the very center of the seat, I am guessing that I might be able to take the seat apart and re-glue the material down. I am also thinking about getting a brown leather seat that is a little bit larger.

Tonight I am going to try getting these things done before I go to my Bible study:

  1. Remove the reflectors from the wheels and handlebars
  2. Finish removing all of the gunk off the frame and components
  3. See if I can fix the seat upholstery
  4. Go for another ride!
I am also thinking about trying to find a tank (or fabricate one) that mounts in the frame (A) instead of above it (B).
